Effective 1 April 2012 Paul Smits will be the new Managing Director for Fancom BV in Panningen. In his new position Paul brings with him extensive experience and knowledge of the agricultural business.
Bert and Angelique Kemmeren, mushroomproducers and husband and wife in the Dutch village of Rijsbergen, were handed over the first Fair Produce certificate by Dutch Minister of Social Affairs Henk Kamp. The minister visited the Kemmeren farm for the occasion on Monday the 27th of February.

In 2011 Walkro Compost managed to produce 415.000 tonnes of spawn run compost at 3 production locations in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. According to Walkro, they are now the first compost producer worldwide breaking the barrier of 400.000 tonnes in one year.
Coenegrachts Substrates, located in Riemst, Belgium, will expand its phase III capacity from 400 tonnes to 720 tonnes weekly. A phase I facility is also being built and will go into production in September 2012.
