Poland’s based Okechamp SA has concluded sale of 100% of shares of its Dutch Subsidiary F&F Europe BV to Freezitt Holding BV, as part of FLM Foodingredients BV, today (28 June).
By closing this deal, according to a Okechamp press release, 'Freezitt Holding BV is improving its position as producer of frozen (IQF) mushrooms in Netherlands, while Okechamp SA is focusing on its core activities in Poland within integrated production chain of canned mushrooms.
Both companies find this transaction beneficial from the perspective of their markets focus'.
On Wednesday, June 1, the Ambassador of the Mushroom Industry Award was granted to Roel Dreve and Henk van den Top at the Welcome Event of the 34th Dutch Mushroom Days in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch.
The 'Ambassador' Award was founded in 2013 and its winners are chosen by the Board of the Mushroom Days Foundation in recognition of their immense services to the mushroom sector. Winners in 2013 were Roel Seubring, Peter Zandboer and Wout van Lieshout.
At the Opening Ceremony of the 19th ISMS on 30 May 2016, three Honorary Life Memberships were awarded.

On Sunday 29 May, Mushroom Week in Holland started, the double event that combines the Dutch Mushroom Days in Den Bosch and the 19th ISMS Congress in Amsterdam.
The event was launched at a Welcome Reception, sponsored by Global Roel Media (publisher of Mushroom Business). Chairman Piet Lempens of the organising comittee welcomed everybody in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, venue of ISMS 2016. All members of the Committe were introduced to the delegates, of which 500+ signed up for this event.
Last Wednesday December 3rd Vullings Systemen won the Agro Food & Technology Award with the Multiflex Water Supply System (WSS). It concerns an improved total concept for supplying water in the mushroom growing industry. The concept generates a perfect and equal water distribution on the growing bed, which can be supplied in the right quantity and on the right moment. With this system it is possible to generate a maximum yield with less water.
