    On May 25, 26 and 27, the traditional Polish Mushroom Days and Festival will be organised in Sielinko and Wielichowo, near Poznan.
    The event includes a whole range of cultural activities, a business fair that attracts many international suppliers, as well as a conference.
    This is the official programme. 

    Friday 25.05.2007

    Location: Sielinko.

    14.00 p.m.: Opening of Polish Mushroom Days by the President of the Association of Cultivated Mushroom Trade, Dr Krystian Szudyga and the mayor of Wielichowo, Adam £aniecki M.Sc.

    The opening ceremony will be attended by invited guests, representatives of state and local authorities, guests from
    Poland and abroad, mushrooms producers, Association members and participants of Polish Mushroom Days.

    Saturday 26.05.2007

    Location: Sielinko.

    10.30 a.m.: Conference opening by Dr Krystian Szudyga in the Museum hall.

    10.50 – 11.20 a.m.: Presentation by Artur Krakowiak M.Sc., of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. ‘Possibilities for obtaining public help funds for the fruit and vegetable sector, including mushrooms, as a part of the Common Organization of Fruit and Vegetable Trade’.

    11.20 –11.40 a.m.: Break (food and drinks).

    11.40 – 12.10: Presentation by Witold Boguta M.Sc. ‘Organising groups of producers – requirements and legal forms’.

    12.10 – 12.30: Discussion.

    12.30 – 12.50: Break (food and drinks)

    12.50 – 1.35 p.m.: Presentation by Dr Artur Miszczak,

    Pomology and Floriculture

    Laboratory of Safe Food Research. ‘Threats resulting from improper application of pesticides in champignon production’.

    1.35 p.m.: Discussion and questions.

    6.00 p.m.: ‘Children for children’ – the winners of song festivals, cheerleaders groups and modern dancing groups.

    7.00 p.m.: ‘Only rock’ – concert of ‘NEO’ group.

    8.00 p.m.: ‘Ramols’ – hits for everyone – concert of the group.

    10.00 p.m.: "AKT" – dancing party with the group from tv show ‘Jaka to melodia?’

    12.00: A Special Holy Mass on behalf of Polish and European Mushroom Trade and Producers.

    1.15 p.m.: Formal Opening of Champignon Day. Speeches by the mayor of Wielichów, Krystian Szudyga and invited quests.

    1.30 p.m.: ‘Champignon Carnival’ – passage of champignon parade to the stadium, lead by brass band.

    2.00 p.m.: Presentation of the best cheerleader groups.

    3.00 p.m.: ‘Champignon World’ – drawing competition for children.

    3.00 p.m.: Checkers marathon.

    3.00 p.m.: Presentation of prizes in champignon competitions.

    4.00 p.m.: ‘Rising Stars Recital’ – presentations of winners of song festivals.

    5.00 p.m.: Concert of regional singing group "Wilkowianie".

    6.00 p.m.: ‘Princess’ – a group from the
    Czech republic – hits of Queen.

    8.00 p.m.: "Czarno-Czarni’ – an evening star.

    Accompanying events:

    1. Fishing competition – prizes are sponsored by SPU Rakoniewice.
    2. Miss and Mister Champignon – prizes sponsored by Interchamp.
    3. A competition for the biggest champignon – prizes sponsored by Agrocoop.
    4. Champignon soccer competition.
    5. Champignon raffles and contests as well as games for whole families, presentation of boules game.
    6. ‘Champignon in 100 ways’ – presentations, tasting, shows of champignon products, promotion of dishes based on button mushrooms.
    7. ‘On the air’ – presentation of companies interested in promotion.
    8. Funfair, inflated castle, slides.
