The Hessischer Pilztag, an international meeting for growers and suppliers of exotic mushrooms, will be held in Nevele, Belgium, and the Holiday Inn Gent Expo hotel on November 5th. A members meeting is scheduled the day before.
On November 4th, the HLP members gather in the Holiday Inn Gent Expo in Gent, Belgium for their yearly meeting and a 'Belgian evening'. Bernard Desrumaux from the research station in Rumbeke will give an oupdate one the Belgian mushroom industry.
November 5th starts at 9.00 with a tour to the new facility of Mycelia in Nevele. Mycelia is a spawn producer for exotic mushrooms. A report on the company was featured in Mushroom Business nr. 30.
After lunch in the Holiday Inn Gent Expo in Gent, the lecture programme starts at 14.00 in the same hotel. Georg Heinrich Rühl, Jos Amsing and Jan Neverman will lecture on subjects like bacterial activity in substrate and hygiene. Participants will also be updated on substrate production by Jürgen Kynast, Magda Verfaillie and Bert Rademakers. The programme ends at 17.00.
