From the 1st of June, 2009, Eric Vernooij will join ChampFood International, the well known supplier of mushroom supplement.
Vernooij has a long history in the mushroom industry. From 1997 to 2006, he was jointly responsible for the growth of the casing activities of BVB Euroveen. Since then he worked for the Northern Europe branch of spawn supplier Amycel.
Vernooij will join ChampFood as associate. Recent expansion of the production capacity has created the opportunity for ChampFood to grow further within the industry. According to Jan Baltussen, the expansion also offers more flexibility to supply even more products to current and future customers.
Vernooij will contribute to the further development of the company. His main focus will be on keeping and supporting the current customers and further international expansion.
