The Mushroom Bureau - the generic body to promote all mushrooms sold in Britain - has re-vamped its website. The new secton on the site is Education.
The whole farming cycle from composting to harvesting mushrooms is explained pictorially with easy-to-study captions. A Primary school project sheet for KS2 pupils can be downloaded for classroom work. A GCSE Study Card can also be downloaded for KS4, Food Technology students. The Study Card is cross-referenced to a Nutrition & Health section on the site. Mushroom growers and teachers have written the copy and the photographs were taken on a mushroom farm in East Anglia.
