20th NAMC, Canada
The 20th North American Mushroom Conference (hosted by AMI and CMGA) will be organised in spectacular Niagara Falls, Canada, from May 3 - 6, 2009.
The venue for the 20th North American Mushroom Conference is spectacular indeed. Every room in the NAMC room block at the Sheraton Fallsview hotel overlooks the Horseshoe Falls.
The program features 12 lectures covering topics such as Phase II and III bulk systems, crisis management, marketing and strategic planning, agri-food and health, odour measurement and control, the changing face of agriculture, biopharmaceuticals and alternative sources of energy. Speakers include Peter Romaine, Ken Lomax and Richard Worzel.
Plan to visit 28 of your major suppliers in the EXPO hall during breakfast, lunch and dedicated EXPO hours on Monday and Tuesday. Besides American and Canadian companies as Amycel and Acadian Peat Moss, Dutch companies Dalsem, Hoving, Geraedts and Ten Cate Nicolon have signed up already.
May is blossom time at Niagara! So the organisers invite you to bring your partner for a winery tour, shopping at quaint Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Butterfly Museum, or maybe, a wet ride under the falls.
A Gala Party is scheduled on Tuesday in the Element-on-the-Falls Restaurant and Grand Hall right next to the Falls.
