Floriade 2012, Venlo, The Netherlands

The World Horitcultural Expo Floriade 2012 will be open from April 5th, 2012 to October 7th, 2012.

More than 100 exhibitors will pay tribute to horticulture at this unique expo. The park comprises five unique worlds: themed zones connected by wooded areas. Worlds in which you will see, feel and experience nature in a constantly changing way.

The Floriade is a global spectacle in which many dozens of countries participate.  You will find yourself immersed in a melting pot of cultures where you will be introduced to different customs and rituals. And of course there will also be plenty of attention for the regional culture of the province of Limburg. Enjoy typical gastronomic delights in our attractive restaurants! Here we will be serving regional dishes and refreshments, and all the meals will be prepared using seasonal products.

Each day features a cultural programme of music, dance, literature, theatre and visual art from all over the world.  Sustainable, pioneering architectural eye catchers, as never seen before, will be shown for the first time at Floriade 2012.

With countless exciting, innovative and educational attractions and activities, Floriade 2012 is a spectacular voyage of discovery for children. You can also walk along a thematic route together with a guide or enjoy a bird’s eye view of the park from the 30-metre-high cable-car system.
