Ribbstyle will introduce at the Mushroom Days a new floor coating for mushroom cultivation cells.
This floor coating is developed in co-operation with several organisations in the industry. The experience in practice of mushroom growers teaches that floors in mushroom cultivation cells require a high vapour-tightness, resistance to wear, and durability. According to Ribbstyle, the company has found a proper solution to this.
In addition, Ribbstyle supplies various services for companies in the mushroom industry. Presently also a floor coating that is specifically intended for mushroom cultivation cells. This concept has been developed as a supplementation to other services supplied by Ribbstyle. Primarily this concerns the vapour proofing of cultivation cells and compost tunnels. The high quality coatings not only take care of a higher vapour-tightness, but also permanently bridge cracks. This takes care that pollution cannot remain behind in the cultivation cells and tunnels. It is also an important means of prevention against sources of infection. This knowledge was also applied in the development process of the floor coating, the application of which Ribbstyle has obtained a lot of practical experience with.
Ribbstyle can offer a complete maintenance and repair service for the growers.
During the past months a pilot project has been started up by a grower to apply a hygienic and crack-bridging floor coating in a mushroom cultivation cell. In cooperation with C-Point, a zero-measurement has been made at the beginning of the project. This measurement clearly proved that the cracks in the floor caused a considerable loss of vapour-tightness. Ribbstyle has developed a special new floor coating for this floor. This coating is resistant against high temperatures in connection with steaming and resistant against chemical cleaning agents.
The vapour-tightness of the cultivation cell as an entirety has been improved because cracks in the floor have been repaired and closed-off by the floor coating. Now the floor is one taut entirety with a professional appearance. The floor can also be cleaned easily now. In combination with the wall coatings in order to make the cells vapour-tight and to protect against pollution, the mushroom cultivation cell is in optimal condition now.
