JF McKenna Ltd, a leading manufacturer and supplier to the mushroom industry recently launched a new 13m (42ft) wide structure specifically designed for mushroom growers.
According to the company; “This will complement our existing range of structures and will prove to be a vital component in the reduction of growers’ costs. The introduction of the A13 forms part of JF McKenna’s solution to provide our client’s with the ability to handle 75 tonne and 100 tonne phase 3 compost fills within an ever changing and demanding market.
This new growing room structure will accommodate 4 x rows aluminium shelving up 6 beds high to cater for filling capacities of up to 100 tonnes and more. We are well aware of the downward pressures on mushroom prices in many countries which has necessitated the development of such a cost effective building. We can also offer aluminium growing shelving tailored to your own specifications which can be delivered anywhere in the world. In addition JF McKenna supplies growing nets, air handling and Fancom computer controls as part of our package.”
Brendan McKenna, Managing Director at J F McKenna, said: “We are very confident with the initial feedback from our customers and will endeavour to develop this range of structures even further.
